EVENT CREW positions are part-time and on-call split shifts, with a minimum 4-hour call per shift. The focus of this role will be to provide assistance with delivery, set-up, and strike of events. Shifts may also be available to provide additional support in the Warehouse.

RATE OF PAY: $25 per hour

• 4-hour minimum pay guarantee per shift

• Shifts will vary, including evenings and weekends

• The role may lead to a permanent or further part-time position, with growth opportunities

• No contractors - Event Crew are hired as hourly employees

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Arrive on time, prepared to begin work

• Take direction from the Event Lead

• Unload and load trucks of boxes, bins, objects, and furniture 

• Use moving equipment (rolling boards, pallet jacks, etc.)  

• Assemble pipe and drape  

• Set up and/or assemble other event décor and props

• Carefully unpack and repack breakable décor and props

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS 

• Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted   

• Travel up and down stairs unassisted, sometimes carrying objects 

• Push, pull, and otherwise move large, heavy items with the use of moving equipment  

• Be on your feet for long periods 

• Move-in awkward, small, or restricted spaces  

• Have adequate transportation to and from event sites, sometimes late at night when public transportation is unavailable  

ASSETS

• Design experience or related degree in design  

• Previous event and/or stage crew experience  

• Experience with professional draping
