EVENT DESIGNER role supports the Creative Director in the design and execution of events. Connecting with clients and performing initial client consultations, the focus of this role is to create appealing visual proposals for both large and small-scale events, including Christmas and seasonal installations. The ideal candidate will be a creative, out-of-the-box thinker with an acute eye for detail.
RATE OF PAY: $24 - $27 per hour
Part-time, flexible schedule; shifts will vary, including evenings and weekends
The role may lead to a permanent full-time position, with growth opportunities
No contractors - Event Designers are hired as hourly employees
RESPONSIBILITIES
Have a healthy understanding of the design process and how to apply it
Liaison with clients via email or phone to answer inquiries
Perform initial client consultations to determine design brief
Gather and record client information in the SPECTRA database
Create visual proposals with a flair for graphic design, presentation, and layout
Design unique event vignettes, interesting spatial layouts, and décor accents during the design process
Promote certain products as part of SPECTRA promotions
Follow-up with clients on proposals and logistic details
Prepare quotes using the SPECTRA database
Attend set-up and strikes on-site (including evenings and weekends)
Supervise Event Crew and give clear direction
Liaise with clients on-site
Other duties as required
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
Design experience and/or related design degree
Proficient knowledge of Google Workspace

Previous event and/or stage crew experience
Graphic design experience
Previous proposal writing experience
